Class was fun today! I love introducing Bill Grogan's Goat and working hard at finding the sol-la-ti-do pattern. Thanks grown-ups for sharing your kids with me and coming and playing and learning with your child. 

Registration and enrollment for the 2nd year of LPM will open THIS  MONDAY February 2nd. Class times will both be on Tuesday 4:30-5:20 and Wednesday 4:30-5:20 start August 18th/19th. Class is 50 minutes long in the 2nd year. I will send everyone an email and text at 7am with a link to register on my studio website. After you have registered and paid the $25 registration fee, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on enrolling/purchasing class materials on the official LPM website. Once materials are purchased, your spot is secure. Signing up will be on a first come/first serve basis. If you happen to not get in the exact class time you desire, let me know and I can put you on a waiting list for your preferred class time. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Can't Bug Me!

It's fabulous how we are learning to ‘read’ bug rhythms from pictures - we mixed up the order of our bugs and they still clapped them correctly! That means that they are internalizing the rhythm of each bug. Fantastic progress!

Bill Grogan's Goat

Today we introduced a silly story about Bill Grogan's goat. We clapped to the beat a little different, noticing the beats between each phrase of the verse. This is a fun way to experience musical phrasing, but also we are using our bodies to represent the whole note that is held at the end of each phrase. 

Grab a basket ball and use the Let's Play Music bugs to PLAY a game with the ball after you watch this video!
